Enterprise Compliance

Enterprise compliance services is a centralised function within the Governance and Risk Division that supports the University of Queensland's (UQ) commitment to maintaining a strong compliance culture that ensures capacity to operate in a manner that is compliant with its legal and regulatory compliance obligations across our educational, research, operational, and business activities.

The compliance team is responsible for the monitoring, review and enhancement of the compliance management framework, systems and processes, to ensure they are effective and meet the needs of UQ. The compliance team provides guidance, advice, and support to UQ stakeholders with responsibility and accountability for a range of compliance obligations within their organisational contexts, and provides information, and training when needed to support key functional areas and subject matter experts, to enable compliance management capacity and awareness. 

Enterprise compliance provides a systematic, risk-based approach to compliance that enables the University to demonstrate how it maintains, monitors, and enhances compliance practices to protect UQ and enable a strong compliance culture.
