Community Engagement
PM Community of Practice
A community of practice is a group of people who share a concern or a passion for something they do, and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly. This definition reflects the fundamentally social nature of human learning.
Project management is the discipline of initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the work of a team to achieve specific goals and meet specific success criteria at the specified time.
A Community of Practice (CoP) for Project Managers and UQ project professionals has been established to bring together anyone who has a passion for the practice of project management.
The CoP meets monthly and the group is keen to discuss sharing tips and tricks, using tools like JIRA and Confluence, project induction, estimation, release management, and improving understanding of Project Governance. The CoP is also active on Microsoft Teams.
To register your interest, please contact the IT PMO at itpmo@uq.edu.au.
